Bondi apartment – modern lifestyle

This Bondi apartment has been designed as a calm respite to balance a hectic work/life schedule. The newly built Moreton, a sustainable development by Mirvac is set back from the bustling ‘Bondi Town’ life and pace and although it stands to be a very modern architectural design the complex blends beautifully with the natural surrounds and the Art Deco style apartments, which thankfully dominate the architectural landscape in the area. The Moreton apartment complex includes many modern nods to sustainability, including composting, recycling and a communal garden, which is fantastic for alleviating the stresses of the everyday.

The apartment blends a predominate base palette of white, black and grey with a muted pastel palette, the rooms flood with the natural north facing light throughout the day, the sheer linen curtains soften & provide respite from the midday sun. Furnished with an eclectic collection of pieces, to include all different styles and eras, such as iconic Danish, Italian and Japanese designer pieces, Art Deco and Mid-Century styles.

A galley kitchen featuring imposing dark timber cabinetry is the star of the living space, while the abstract artworks by artist Dana Dion provide the necessary pops of colour throughout.

Bespoke cabinetry and furniture by ALTONE Design add a good sprinkling of contemporary chic to the mix and blend with the carefully curated Mid-Century furniture classics beautifully. The end result, the hard lines of the apartment have been softened and the home represents a relaxed coastal style and feel, reflective of the beachside location.
