Classic Interior Decoration Designs
Classic designs – A contemporary twist
I love the classic interior decoration designs of Ray & Charles Eames, they are amongst the most important American Designers of this Century. The Eames Lounge chair came on the market in 1956 and it has remained in continuous production ever since, although the veneer is now made from cherry or walnut.
The 1957 white leather Eames Lounge Chair 670, often described as a 20th century version of a 19th century English club chair and extremely rare in the world of Eames collectibles. I would love to get my hands on one!
For a contemporary twist to this design classic mix in-expensive pieces such as this bold print cushion & ceramic drum stool to achieve a look that is on trend whilst not taking impact away from this beautiful piece of furniture.
The new designs coming out of Europe still evoke the classic designs of mid century, such as the Flexform range from Fanuli-an Italian design, simple & pure style with many options, or the Magnum bed designed by Italian guru Antonio Citterio.
